This notice explains how REMEX Software Ltd handles personal information through this website and enquiries made through it. REMEX Software Ltd is the controller of information you send to us.
Browsing this website
This website is hosted on IONOS. When you visit, the hosting infrastructure may process technical request information such as your IP address, request time, requested pages, browser information and error logs to deliver the site and maintain security. Hosting log settings and retention are managed through the hosting service.
We do not load third-party analytics scripts or advertising trackers. IONOS provides hosting statistics through SiteAnalytics, which may include pages requested, referrers, access times, browsers, devices and approximate locations derived from anonymised IP addresses. IONOS states that Web Hosting visitor data is retained for eight weeks. Enquiry forms use a necessary session cookie to protect submissions against forgery. Fonts, artwork and the background trailer are served from the website’s own files. The homepage background video is not an external embed. Videos on the News page load a YouTube privacy-enhanced player only when you select Play. At that point your browser connects to YouTube, which may process technical information such as your IP address and interactions under its own privacy policy. Your browser’s reduced-motion and data-saving preferences may be checked locally to control playback.
Location link
The About page links to our location on Google Maps. No map is embedded or loaded on this website. If you follow the link, Google processes information under its own privacy policy.
Project enquiries
The enquiry form asks for your name, email address, optional company name, the service you need help with and your message. When you select Send enquiry, these details are sent to our PHP handler on IONOS and emailed to REMEX. The handler does not store message content in a database. A hashed network address and recent submission times are used for abuse prevention; only timestamps from the last hour count towards limits. Expired rate-limit files are removed during subsequent enquiry requests, so deletion depends on further site activity.
If you send an enquiry, we receive the information by email and use it to respond, discuss your project and manage any resulting business relationship. Please avoid including sensitive personal information that is not needed for your enquiry.
Careers enquiries
The Careers form asks for your name, email, optional portfolio link and introduction. Like the project enquiry form, it sends your details through our IONOS PHP handler to our inbox. The form does not accept attachments; you can include a portfolio or CV link. We use the information to respond and consider potential work together. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in assessing and responding to prospective team members and collaborators, or taking steps at your request before entering a contract where applicable. We retain correspondence only while needed to consider the enquiry, manage any resulting relationship or meet relevant legal obligations. We will ask before keeping your details on a longer-term talent list.
Why we use information
We rely on our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries and operating a secure website. Where your request concerns entering a contract with you, we may process information to take steps at your request before entering that contract. We may also retain information where needed to meet legal obligations.
Content creator enquiries
The Content Creators form asks for your name, contact email, channel link, content format and an optional introduction, together with permission to contact you about creator opportunities for our next game. It sends your details through our IONOS PHP handler to our inbox when you submit the form. We use the details to respond and, with your consent, contact you about relevant opportunities. You can withdraw your interest or ask us to stop contacting you by replying to our emails or using the contact form. We keep the details while they are relevant to these opportunities, or until you withdraw your interest, unless a legal obligation requires otherwise.
Game announcement signups
When you subscribe, your email address is submitted directly to Brevo, our mailing-list provider, to manage your subscription and send REMEX game announcements. The form displays a response in this popup. Brevo may process technical request information to operate the form and prevent abuse. We rely on your consent to send these announcements. Follow any confirmation email you receive to complete signup. You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in our announcement emails or by contacting us. We retain subscription details while you remain subscribed and keep the minimum opt-out information needed to respect an unsubscribe request. Your address is not stored by this website. See Brevo’s privacy policy for information about its processing. The LinkedIn link takes you to an external website.
Who receives information
Website hosting and email service providers may process information to deliver their services. Information may also be disclosed when legally required or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. This website does not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Links to Steam, LinkedIn and other external websites are governed by those services’ privacy notices. Depending on the providers and settings used, information may be processed outside the UK. Where applicable, international transfers require appropriate protections under data protection law.
How long information is kept
Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as needed to respond, manage any resulting work, meet applicable recordkeeping obligations or deal with disputes. The relevant criteria include whether the enquiry is ongoing, whether it leads to a contract, and whether a legal or business need for the record remains. IONOS states that Web Hosting visitor data is retained for eight weeks. Necessary PHP session data follows the hosting service’s session cleanup settings.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or transfer of information. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. These rights are subject to applicable conditions and exceptions.
To ask a privacy question or exercise a right, use our contact form and mention “Privacy request” in your message. It sends your request directly to our inbox.
You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office through ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or by calling 0303 123 1113.
